Spider-Man 3 - Movie Review

Well that kinda sucked didn't it?

At first I thought I was just too tired from the work week and my brain missed plot points but no, the movie just had a bad cheesy script and major editing problems. What a mess.

What happened? Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were SOOOO GOOD.

Even Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunsnt didn't even look as good as they usually they do. Even the attempts at humour didn't work. They just ended up being awkward.

Well, no point in ranting about this since it seems everyone else saw this already yesterday (raking in 59$ million yesterday, $104 million worldwide) or already has tickets to this weekends sold out performances (sorry folks, I tried to warn friends but everyone's already got tickets. Man are we suckers for a good publicity campaign).

Spider-Man 3 : D+ or 5/10

Not sure I'd give it as bad a rating as you but no question I thought it was disappointing too. I say this as someone who not only is a huge comic fan but an even bigger Spider-Man fan.
The actors looked like they slept through the filming and couldn't they have just limited it to one story instead of 10. Boooooo.

I wasn't a comic book fan but LOVED the first two movies, so my huge disappointment and bad rating is partly due to that. Plus, it might have gotten a C or C- but I realised I enjoyed the movies I gave those grades more than I did Spider-Man 3. Yes, even The Guardian.

I think everyone is too tough on this movie. Everyone knows that they are not trying to win an academy award or something. They were trying to tie up a bunch of loose ends. I liked that it was encomapassing in this regard. It resolved friendship issues, relationship issues, and identity issues for all of the main characters. I rate it as a solid B or B+. Let's try to realign our expectations here.
