Eating and Watching TV Like Michael Phelps - 2008 Beijing Olympics Superficial Coverage

In another one of those videos by NBC in their bid to make the Olympics into the biggest dramatic schmaltzfest (and yet I love those biographical bits) that aired last night, Michael Phelps claims to be extremely lazy outside of the pool, only wanting to watch TV all day (well, I have half of his life right at least!). On top of that, he doesn't cook for himself and needs to eat 8000-10000 calories a day, yet still can't crack the 200lb mark. Plus it looks like he's not even eating that healthily (or, at least, I eat the same way, shall I say). If he weren't so darn cute and such the star of the moment, I think I'd hate him. Or maybe I should hate him because he's so darn cute and the star of the moment?

So seriously, he's 3 Golds for 3 already and it was only day 4 of the Beijing Olympics. 5 more events left... this guy's insane...

Anyways, if we kind of eat the same way... how come I don't look like this?:

Oh yeah, cause I can only swim about an hour a day max... not the hours and hours Phelps does. And that's when I DO get to a pool.

He made Six golds at the 2004 Olympics. Seven golds at the 2007 Worlds. Michael Phelps will enter eight races in Beijing within reach of multiple records, including most career Olympic golds (9) and most golds at a single Games (7).

And now Phelps wins 400m, takes gold and breaks his own world record in the 400m IM.

Would he take 8 Gold medals this time?

I think he's going to take all 8, but even if he doesn't, I have a song to dedicate to him for making it halfway. You can listen to it here:
