Musical Mondays - Ragtime Edition

...because why not? (And cause I won't have time to post anything proper), and because I've been singing all the songs all day long since I saw the current revival at the Kennedy Centre last week. It closes this Sunday May 17th. Grab tickets while you still can. It's phenomenal (and I'll hopefully have my review up soon).

Ragtime. Washington D.C. Kennedy Centre. GO NOW!

Here's the clip from the Tony Awards back when the original Broadway cast was nominated singing the opener:

Here's Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell singing "Wheels Of A Dream" on The Rosie O'Donnell Show (ah, the good ol days when everyone still loved Rosie and she promoted Broadway shows like crazy):

Here's Audra and Brian singing "Sarah Brown Eyes". It's just the recording but it's SOOOOOOO GOOD.

Now if only the new Kennedy Centre version gets a recording because it is simply spectacular sounding!

I love the opening number on the Tony awards! Is that Lea Michele as the little immigrant girl? She's cute as a button!
