Life's too short to waste on bad entertainment. Well, unless it's so bad, it's good. Or you're stuck in an airplane.

Good Old Tony
So I know I've been selling The Tony Awards a lot lately, but you know, I'd like it to have more than the 12 viewers it usually gets. (So Watch Sunday on CBS at 8pm, or at least long enough to see the performances from Company and Spring Awakening)
Here are some clips (in no particular order) that I loved from previous years. Doesn't necessarily mean I love the show, or that I even saw the musical it was from, but here are some memorable Tony performances that I find myself wanting to watch over again.
Spamalot - "Find Your Grail", with Sara Ramirez (now Callie on Grey's Anatomy. And yeah. Boy she can SING!) and David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Seiber, Hank Azaria, Tim Curry and company. From the 2005 Tony Awards.
Hey, thanks for posting these! Some are especially awesome. (Yay, Assassins!) I have a wedding to go to Sunday night, and won't be able to watch until I get home Monday night, so I'm going to be in a media blackout zone Monday to avoid finding out who wins before I get a chance to watch on my DVR. :)

ReplyDeleteOh, and to add...isn't that little girl in the Ragtime clip the girl from Spring Awakening? Or am I thinking of a different girl?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. I forgot to mention that. It's Lea Michelle! She was Little Girl in Ragtime way back when! Now in Spring Awakening!
