Whee!!! Glee!!!

Oh sure, NOW the rest of you are starting to jump on the Glee bandwagon after I got excited a long time ago.

UPDATE: 1st Promo is up!

I guess now that word of Victor Garber (Eli Stone, Alias) and Kristen Chenowith (Wicked, Pushing Daisies) joining the cast in possible re-occuring roles, people are taking Ryan Murphy's musical comedy show a bit more seriously. That and the amazing buzz already from the early presentation during the ad presentation. Victor Garber will play father to Matthew Morrison's Will, the teacher who is put in charge of McKinley High's sad glee club. Broadway's Debra Monk (Grey's Anatomy, Curtains) plays his mother. Lea Michelle (Spring Awakening) leads the younger cast and her (now ex?) boyfriend John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys) will also guest. I'm guessing that a lot of Broadway folks are going to be guest starring.

Plus, FOX has given the first episode an air date! It'll premiere preview on Tuesday, May 19th at 9pm following a perfect musical lead-in American Idol. Sadly, the rest of the show won't air until probably fall. Smart or dumb move? It'll capitalize on American Idol's huge captivated audience and as long as the show is great, will create a lot of buzz for a huge fall return, or it'll completely backfire. I'm of course hoping for the first. Strangely, FOX is trusting enough to have ordered the first 13 episodes already (then again, considering they also had Firefly, Andy Richter Controls The Universe, The Tick, Dollhouse, that really means nothing).

You KNOW I'm excited about THIS SHOW! The cast just keeps getting better and better (now if only they can write in the teach Will to undress in the lockerroom or something to see this), the buzz is actually really good, especially for the much maligned musical TV show genre, and the logo on the website (in yellow above) is kinda brilliant.
