It's March Madness and Spring is just around the corner (FRIDAY!), so what a perfect time for Spring Awakening to arrive in Toronto (starting this Tuesday March 17th and running until April 19th)!!! WOO!!! Spring is finally coming to Canada! (and after this past snowy winter, it couldn't come any sooner)!
And Mirvish, the local producers, who are hosting the National Tour, aren't shying away with the ad campaign even though their subscription base generally skews towards the Fall generation!
Anyways, if you follow my blog, you know I'm a little obsessed, and by the end of this coming week, it'll finally surpass Rent as the musical I've seen the most live (The Sound of Music would be for movies). Here's my many many reviews: Original Review, 2nd Viewing, 3rd Viewing, 4th Viewing, 5th Viewing, 7th Viewing Review, 8th and 9th Viewing Review.
Meanwhile, as I previously freaked out about, Matt Doyle (Gossip Girl) is coming up to Toronto to replace Canadian Kyle Riabko who will be gone temporarily (I believe until April 12th)!
Spring Awakening is also re-opening in London's West End at the Novello Theatre on the first full day of spring (next Saturday, March 21st)! It also continues to play around the world.
Meanwhile, if you're in Canada, Bravo Canada is airing the documentary about Kyle Riabko's experience in joining Spring Awakening called The Lead tonight at 8pm (Sunday March 15th) and will repeat it on the first day of spring, Friday, March 20 at 7 pm.

Wow, that is a pretty daring ad. I'm sorry Kyle won't get to perform before the hometown crowd. But I hope you're planning to go every night! ;-)
