Let The Adverts Begin! So They AREN'T Going To Totally Bury It!

Shoot 'Em Up finally has some posters up! I noticed them while I was seeing Hairspray, another New Line film (though COMPLETELY different)

Clive Owen above, 2 more posters (of Monica Belucci and Paul Giamatti) after the jump.

Shoot 'Em Up is currently scheduled for release on Sept. 7, 2007.

Big Brother Trifecta: Sweetbreads=Donuts

Head over to Queering the Apparatus for all the ongoings in the Big Brother House last night. While the nominations were obvious, we did learn some important things, like "Sweetbreads are not muffins and donuts and any bread that is not "regular bread" as Jessica and Jen and evidently the majority of the house thought. I mean REALLY!" and "Barney is a fictional character that doesn't have a sexual orientation... and Kail cannot tell that Dustin is gay... because, evidently, she has a problem with her gaydar unless "homosexuals" walk around in "full makeup." REALLY! She actually said this. She also confessed to not knowing many gay people. REALLY?!? And she is able to "forget" that Dustin is gay because he is such a wonderful person. SIGH.... At this point it is like kicking a dumb wounded opossum laying in the road."

I'll be back Tuesday to report on the Veto competition and ModFab returns on Thursday's elimination (Kail? I dare say?) and the new HOH competition.

Hairspray - The Nicest Kids In Town! - Movie Review

Hairspray
Directed by Adam Shankman

Yes, it's actually quite good. There are minor flaws and sometimes it looks flat but the cast is fantastic, choreography makes you want to dance, and the movie is a lot of fun. It may not be the best film of the year but it might just become my favorite.

I won't have time to expand on this mini-review(I have two more musicals to see on Saturday plus time to crack open Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!) but the movie was great great fun! Considering I didn't really love the musical theatrical version (it was okay, not great), they sure turned it into one rousing movie!

And kudos to Niki Blonski who carries the entire film on her perky smile and dancing feet! Plus, who knew pretty faced James Marsden could dance and sing? And I mean, DANCE and SING. I was so impressed and surprised! Michelle Pfeiffer was great as the evil Velma Von Tussle, and Zac Efron actually improved on the usually weak Link. Elijah Kelley and Amanda Bynes are sweet together while Allison Janney was hilarious in her few scenes, and Christopher Walken found his most endearing role to date. John Travolta was actually cute as Edna Turnblatt. Britany Snow hit just the right wickedness as Tracy's nemesis. Queen Latifah, well, she plays it Queen Latifah style but it always seems to fit the role! Half the fun is watching this great cast play, dance and sing in this campy(but not too much) movie that never takes itself too seriously while dealing with a serious subject.

Hairspray = B+ or 8.5/10 though I reserve the right to change it to a higher grade. Maybe A- (9/10)

What's The Other Word For Happy?

Just cause I need it (and to forget the bunch of weird and awful news I read in the news this morning particularly a couple of articles that I won't depress you with, plus the revelation of someone I like who is younger than me and just bought a house, while I'm still searching for my little box condo... ugh...yes, I'm a jealous little bitch), this is what's making me happy today in no particular order.

That there are so many freaks and geeks that are excited about the last Harry Potter book being release at midnight and that there are huge parties and events to celebrate a BOOK in cities all over! Totally great!

Since I was all down on the Emmy's yesterday, I will pull through the positive and note that I AM happy about SOME stuff. I'm happy that Neil Patrick Harris got a nod for How I Met Your Mother. That 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, Brothers and Sisters, and to a degree Heroes and specifically Masi Oka were awarded nominations after their debut seasons. That Extras finally got some attention. That the supporting cast of Grey's Anatomy finally got their due respect. That the women of Weeds and the supporting men of Entourage got nods (though one for Kevin Connolly would have been nice). That The Office got all their nods. That Friday Night Lights got a casting and directing nomination at least. (With some degree of negativity, EW compiled a perfect list of what went right and wrong yesterday).

There was a study out of Montreal proving that music can equate to sex and happiness (or something like that) within our brains. Well, duh! I was going to do a whole post on the 10 songs that ALWAYS MAKE ME HAPPY but I don't have time for that today so will leave it to next week, but in the meantime, listening to Anthony Callea's A New Chapter album makes me happy right now. (I know. It's the same cheese continued from Shayne Ward, Westlife, Boyzone etc... LOVE IT). (Another song, the one I heard yesterday on the radio that got me thinking about this list, was "The Middle" from Jimmy Eat World).

Speaking of which, I'm happy that the Buffalo radio station repeats songs ad nauseum because they played Timbaland's "The Way I Are" 5 times in the past day. I LOVE IT and I would have added it to my iPod already if I could (something's wrong with the laptop and my iPod hasn't been able to update for the past month).

That Dustin is doing so well in the Love'Em AND the Grand Prize polls. That Jen used her HOH Diary to organize her bills. She really is a uni'tard isn't she?

That Hairspray is getting such great reviews (and I can't wait 'til the big finale "You Can't Stop The Beat". That Xanadu The Musical (Seriously) got such great reviews! Starring the original Broadway Hairspray Penny Pingleton, Kerry Butler.

That all my faves made it into the Top 10 so will be on the So You Think You Can Dance Tour (and thus, also stalkable in my own city!).

That I'm seeing TWO musicals tomorrow! (Oklahoma and My One and Only at Stratford) AND the tickets were cheap! (Thank you deals for young people!)

One Of The Few Times You'll Actually Catch Me Reading A Book

Alright, so who else has been trying to catch up re-reading the Harry Potters in anticipation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

Though I'm not going to finish on time. I'm still only a quarter way into re-reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince but I'm getting a full review tomorrow from a friend while on a little daytrip to Stratford so I think I'll be ready to read HP7 anyways.

But wait, doesn't the rest of the world get it before we do here? Hey, no fair! (Not that I would be reading it right at midnight, nor will I finish anytime this weekend even if I did.)

Still, can't wait. And its ridiculous and awesome all at the same time that they are making such a big hubbub about it. LOVE IT! I'll definitely be stopping by the Harry Potter party on Bay Street later tonight. (and works out perfectly on our way to see Hairspray!)

And yes, I much prefer the British children's cover (that Canadians also get) over the American version. And yes, I specifically request the children' cover and not the adult one.

And yes, I actually started reading Harry Potter WAY before the movies were announced. I'm not sure how I got into them since I barely ever read (I do like MAYBE 4-5 books a year at most and usually one is Harry Potter and another is anything by Dan Savage), but somehow it caught my eye (weird cause I hate fantasy usually), and bought it and devoured them like crazy. So yes, I am claiming I got into them just before the hype! Okay fine I know you don't believe me... hmphhh... (:P)

Big Brother Trifecta - Go Go Go Joseph, You Know What They Say!

Last night we had Big Brother's second eviction and ModFab has hilariously detailed what some of the houseguests have fallen to in order to save their own tushies (is that how you would spell it?). (And don't forget to check back for QTA's report on Sundays nomination episode.)

Here's the start of ModFab's post "Big Brother Trifecta: STD-Riddled Gays and Small Town Bigots, Unite!" :

After some of the most boneheaded game play in Big Brother history -- Jen not only blew the opportunities of winning Head of Household, but put a target on her back as garishly bright as her stupid red unitard -- it looks obvious as to who will be going next. But hey, that's next week's storyline. We've still got an elimination to go! Namely, the showdown of Evil Dick (who Jessica kindly tells us "farts all the time") and HomoJoeJoe (who "lies to everyone"). Farts, lies...it's going to be a close vote!

As last night's episode began, however, it wasn't much of a battle; Joe embarrassed himself by running around shamelessly begging for votes. But running to his aid was a most surprising helper: noted homophobe Kail, who worried that Evil Dick would target her alliance if he stayed. Her campaigning for his ouster came to E.D.'s attention, who decided to call her out publicly. As taunts go, "You're a liar" doesn't have the same zing as "You gave me gonorrhea." But it's still fun, especially since it makes Kail squirm like the bigot she is.

So You Think You Can Dance - We Have Our Top 10!

Top 12 Results - The Cut to The Final 10!!! - Week 5

So, it was a neutral night yesterday, especially coming after last week's fantastic Top 14 performance night. Still, I think our expectations have been raised so much from this outstanding group of dancers this year that we forget that by this point in previous seasons, we still only had a handful of extremely memorable WOW performances. They usually came during the Top 10. Plus, a LOT of it is coming down to choreography and none of them were really that brilliant last night. Good, but not brilliant.

Anyways, it's an important cut tonight since it determines our Top 10 AND the Top 10 that go on the live tour! Seriously, I'd better be able to get tickets.

The opening Top 12 Group Dance was choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux to "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" - Cami Thompson

Here is the video clip:

Opening Dance Week 5
Cute but not the great, hmm... that's sounding very familiar this week. Then again, last year, other than "Technologic", all the memorable group dances were from Top 10 and after. Still, didn't we see this already in Christina Aguilera's Candyman video (with Benji to boot!)?

So, the Bottom Three Pairs are:
Anya and Danny (whew, Sabra and Dominic are SAFE! And on the TOUR! WOO!)
Jaimie and Hok (Jaimie comes from the school of Wall's family of gazelles? That explains things a bit more. Oh thank GAWD. Pasha and Sarah are safe!)
Lauren and Neil (Oh thank goodness Kameron can't be kicked off and duh, Lacey is safe)

Some tap dancer dude Jason Samuel Smith taps for us. I regret not seeing Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk. Maybe. (Though Tap Dogs was far more entertaining than I thought it was going to be)

The Solos:
Anya solo dances to "Proud Mary" - Ike and Tina Turner

Anya Solo Week 5
Considering she's comes from a ballroom dancer, she does a half decent job with her solos, but considering Heidi was too, Heidi was much more inspiring.

Danny solo dances to "Never Felt This Way" - Brian McKnight

Danny Solo Week 5
Okay. Fine. We get it. You can jump REALLY high. I'm not even sure what a Gazelle is. (I have a mental image in my mind but I'm not sure if I have the exact species right). The guy needs to learn to smile some more.

Jaimie solo dances to "One Moment More" - Mindy Smith

Jaimie Solo Week 5
At times her top looked like it wasn't there. I thought this was a family show? Again, the school of Wall continues their excellency.

Hok solo dances to "Black Devil Car" - Jamiroquai

Hok Solo Week 5
Got to give it to this guy that he can MOVE and do some wicked tricks. I'm not sure how well he would do in the Top 10 but again, I kinda prefer him over Danny, at least when it comes to thinking who do I want to see on the tour.

Lauren solo dances to "Walk Away" - Christina Aguilera

Lauren Solo Week 5
Finally. A good solo from Lauren. Right when she really needed to fight for it. I mean, she was basically just throwing herself around the stage but I still went for it. I'm a sucker that way.

Neil solo dances to "Harder To Breathe" - Maroon 5

Neil Solo Week 5
My favorite male of these bottom boys (hehe) and while this solo wasn't as good as his last one, there's still enough tricks and jumps and spins that left me wanting more. He still needs to work on the in between bits (other than spreading your hands out like he just finished a magic trick) but it's getting (slightly) better.

Enrique Iglesias buys the judges some time to deliberate the hardest cut to date.

So, time to cut one girl, it was not unanimous. Jaimie is safe. Whew. And Anya is cut after Lauren finally "danced for her life". Sorry Tony, you won't be able to watch her boobies anymore (see Dan? I told you I know straight guys that watch this show).

It was a unanimous decision for the boys. Hok is cut right away. As I figured. Funny to cut Hok for diversity's sake. There's got to be some irony in there.

At least for the first time in 4 weeks, I'm not totally angry at the choices.

So there we have it! Our New SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 3 Top 10!
Sabra
Dominic
Sara
Pasha
Lacey
Kameron
Jaimie
Danny
Lauren
Neil

To think this is when it got REALLY good last year. Can't wait to see MORE!!! Can't wait to see the partners switch up to see who REALLY is good and who was using floated on their partners coattails. Though I'll be sad to see Pasha and Sara break up already after only 2 weeks together. They've been SO great together.

The 2007 Emmy Nominations - Who Knew They Could Piss Me Off More Than Last Year

So here are the 2007 Emmy Nominations. My comments in red again.

A few favorites got in but there are some ridiculous choices, like Boston Legal getting a nod but Lost and Friday Night Lights not. Plus an overwhelming love for Two and A Half Men. Really?

Outstanding Comedy Series

30 Rock • NBC • Broadway Video, Little Stranger, in association with NBC Universal Television Studio
Entourage • HBO • Leverage and Closest to the Hole Productions in association with HBO Entertainment
The Office • NBC • Deedle-Dee Productions, Reveille, LLC, in association with NBC Universal Television Studio
Two And A Half Men • CBS • Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. The Tannenbaum Company in association with Warner Bros. Television
Ugly Betty • ABC • ABC Studios
Two and a Half Men SO does not belong, but the rest of the category is pretty great.

Outstanding Drama Series

Boston Legal • ABC • David E. Kelley Productions in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television
Grey's Anatomy • ABC • ABC Studios
Heroes • NBC • Tailwind Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio
House • Fox • Heel and Toe Productions, Shore Z Productions, Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio
The Sopranos • HBO • Chase Films and Brad Grey Television in association with HBO Entertainment
No Lost, No Friday Night Lights, I won't even bother with The Wire or Veronica Mars as the chosen nominees seem very generic safe choices. Boston Legal is a fun show but no where NEAR as amazing as Lost or FNL. I felt Grey's Anatomy and House had better years before and were not as compelling this year. Hereos was a fun show but again, popcorn, not award winning stuff.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series

Alec Baldwin, as Jack Donaghy - 30 Rock
Ricky Gervais, as Andy Millman - Extras
Tony Shalhoub, as Adrian Monk - Monk
Steve Carell, as Michael Scott - The Office
Charlie Sheen, as Charlie Harper - Two And A Half Men
Shalhoub and Sheen AGAIN? What a joke. This is getting ridiculous. Baldwin, Carrell and Gervais are totally deserving though. Interesting to see Gervais up against his new prototype Carrell.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series

Tina Fey, as Liz Lemon - 30 Rock
Felicity Huffman, as Lynette Scavo - Desperate Housewives
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, as Christine Campbell - The New Adventures Of Old Christine
America Ferrera, as Betty Suarez - Ugly Betty
Mary-Louise Parker, as Nancy Botwin - Weeds
Possibly the only category that got it the most right. Tina Fey isn't the BEST actress but she improved a LOT over the season. She may be a better writer than actress but I'm still kinda glad she got the nomination.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series

Kiefer Sutherland, as Jack Bauer - 24
James Spader, as Alan Shore - Boston Legal
Hugh Laurie, as Dr. Gregory House - House
Denis Leary,as Tommy Gavin - Rescue Me
James Gandolfini, as Tony Soprano - The Sopranos
Eh, all good actors but Kyle Chandler from Friday Night Lights should have been on the list. I could make the case for Matthew Fox from Lost.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series

Sally Field, as Nora Walker - Brothers & Sisters
Mariska Hargitay
, as Detective Olivia Benson- Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Patricia Arquette, as Allison Dubois - Medium
Kyra Sedgwick, as Dep. Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson - The Closer
Minnie Driver, as Dahlia Malloy - The Riches
Edie Falco
, as Carmela Soprano - The Sopranos
6 nominees and Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) still didn't make the cut? Patricia Arquette? Are you freaking kidding me? At least with some of the Hollywood standards, I can understand why Edie Falco and Kyra Sedgwick make the cut. Sally Field is part of that old Hollywood guard too but she devoured her role in the family soap to delicious perfection. Minnie Driver is always good in surprising roles. I can even throw a bone for Mariska Hargitay who makes SVU just better than the other procedurals now. But Patricia fricken Arquette? Does she even know how to emote?

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series

Kevin Dillon, as Johnny Drama - Entourage
Jeremy Piven, as Ari Gold - Entourage
Neil Patrick Harris, as Barney Stinson - How I Met Your Mother
Rainn Wilson, as Dwight Schrute - The Office
Jon Cryer, as Alan Harper - Two And A Half Men
YAY BARNEY!!! Neil Patrick Harris got a nom! Well, Jon Cryer is great in a bad show so I'll let this go. Charlie Sheen I can't but this one I can. The rest of the list is great though it leaves out John Krasinski from The Office.

Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series

Jaime Pressly, as Joy Turner - My Name Is Earl
Jenna Fischer, as Pam Beesly - The Office
Conchata Ferrell, as Berta - Two And A Half Men
Holland Taylor, as Evelyn Harper - Two And A Half Men
Vanessa Williams, as Wilhelmina Slater - Ugly Betty
Elizabeth Perkins, as Celia Hodes - Weeds
What's with 6 nominations again for the women? Or is that a sign of how strong the category is? Yey Pam! Yey Wilhelmina Slat-AH, Yey Celia Hodes! Yey Joy Turner! I will Two and A Half Men the satisfaction that Conchata Ferrell and Holland Taylor are actually very funny, too bad it wasn't on another show. So not a bad list.

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series

William Shatner, as Denny Crane Boston Legal
T.R Knight, as George O'Malley - Grey's Anatomy
Masi Oka, Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura - Heroes
Terry O'Quinn, as John Locke - Lost
Michael Emerson, as Ben - Lost
Michael Imperioli, as Christopher Moltisanti - The Sopranos
Wait. 6 nominees AGAIN? This time for the boys? Yet I wouldn't kick out anybody here. Even William Shatner. I hope he doesn't win, but he IS fantastic on Boston Legal. Yey for T.R. and Masi Oka and the Lost boys!

Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series

Rachel Griffiths, as Sarah Whedon - Brothers & Sisters
Sandra Oh, as Cristina Yang - Grey's Anatomy
Chandra Wilson, Chandra Wilson as Dr. Bailey - Grey's Anatomy
Katherine Heigl, as Isobel "Izzie" Stevens - Grey's Anatomy
Aida Turturro, as Janice Soprano - The Sopranos
Lorraine Bracco, as Dr. Jennifer Melfi - The Sopranos
Okay, as much as I didn't like this seasons Grey's Anatomy, Oh, Wilson and Heigl have always been great anchors to the shows heart and soul so I'm glad they all got nominated. I can't really complain that much about this category. Would have been nice if Adrianne Palicki from Friday Night Lights but I kinda knew that there was no chance of that.

Outstanding Reality - Competition Program

American Idol
• Fox • FremantleMedia N.A., Inc. & 19TV Ltd.
Dancing With The Stars • ABC • BBC Worldwide Productions, LLC
Project Runway • Bravo • Magical Elves for The Weinstein Company/Miramax, Full Picture, Bravo
The Amazing Race • CBS • Amazing Race Productions Inc. and Touchstone Television Productions, LLC in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and WorldRace Productions, Inc.
Top Chef • Bravo • Magical Elves, Bravo

Um, You know my obsession with So You Think You Can Dance but that's cause it's SUCH A BETTER show than Dancing with the Stars. For reals. DWTS was only really good in Season 2. The rest I can deal with.

So there were the major categories. There are too many to list here but interesting of note, Friday Night Lights did get Best Casting (Drama) and Best Directing (Drama).

Canadian Idol - If Rihanna Is Promoting This Hard, No Wonder "Umbrella" Is #1

Top 10 Results - The Cut Down to 9

Okay, so I haven't even bothered to watch Canadian Idol this year since Greg Neufeld is going to win it anyways, but I saw a bit of last nights results (bye bye Mila Miller. I'm going to miss the cool afro hair), watching Rihanna do her thing (RIHANNA??? on Canadian Idol? Picture after the jump) but they showed a clip of Kalan Porter making a new video for his new song ("Down in Heaven", not great but WAY better than his first album). Um, Kalan Porter looks like he got YOUNGER. Is that even possible? He already looked like he was only 12 when he won.

Brits get Ant and Dec, Americans get Ryan Seacrest. We get Ben Mulroney? Son of former Prime Minister Brian (he of the 80's Conservative party). And you wonder why we have a boring image.

So You Think You Can Dance - The Dancing Dozen

Top 12 Performance

It's Wednesday already! Yesterday was veto day already, now SYTYCD again! Woot woot!

The Judges are: Nigel Lythgoe (What's with the mullet cut?), Mary Murphy and Wade Robson (WAIT. That means we don’t get a dance from him?)

WAIT. Did Nigel just mention the Live Tour? WHEN'S THE LIVE TOUR ON SALE??? ACK... I CAN'T WAIT ALREADY!!!

First up, one of my favorite three couples,

Sabra Johnson and Dominic Sandoval - Jive - choreographed by Tony Meredith (and Bette Midler lookalike Melanie is back assisting)- "I Do The Jerk " - Ryan Shaw

Here is the video clip of Sabra and Dominic’s Jive routine:

Dominic and Sabra Week 5
Um. OMG Sabra wasn't kidding that D-trix drops her a lot. That throw where she was flung to the floor? OUCH.
So I usually expect Sabra to be good, and I actually think Dominic was always good. I was never wowed only because I believed in him from the first performance week. I was worried this week though about D-trix especially, but I needn't be. While Sabra and Dominic weren't as together as they could be (or as last week where they were basically molded into one person doing that sleek Hip Hop routine), it was still pretty fun and impressive and Dominic looked fantastic doing the Jive and Sabra is still my favorite little pixie.

Jaimie Goodwin and Hok Konishi - Broadway - choreographed by Tyce DiOrio (with assistance from Travis Wall!) - "Mr. Bojangles" - Fosse (original Broadway cast)

Here is the video clip of Jaimie and Hok’s Broadway routine:

Hok and Jaimie Week 5
Well, that was not my favourite choreography danced to a classic song that I've never really liked (in a musical review that I found was WAY overrated) but I thought they danced it quite beautifully, especially Jaimie, who I keep forgetting is actually really good. Wade seemed to have a good point though, that Hok's characterization didn't seem right and I felt slightly bored in the middle and I usually found myself watching Jaimie again.

Sara Von Gillern and Pasha Kovalev - Jazz - choreographed by Mandy Moore - "Body Language" - Queen

Here is the video clip of Sara and Pasha’s Jazz routine:

Pasha and Sara Week 5
Well, once I got over the costumes, ahem... I got into the groove of the retro look and Pasha and Sara were so sleek and limber. They turned a simple looking routine by punctuating small details that accented what Jazz (and jazz hands (although I keep seeing the dude from Bring It On! when you say "Jazz Hands")) is all about.

Lauren Gottlieb and Neil Haskell - Contemporary - choreographed by Mia Michaels - "Let The Drummer Kick" - Citizen Cope

Here is the video clip of Lauren and Neil’s Contemporary routine:

Neil and Lauren Week 5
I like this pairing and always felt Neil had more than meets the eye, but I do have to say that they are lucking out with choreographers just when they were thought to be in danger. Talk about timing. First Wade last week, now Mia. Basically the two best choreographers on this show.
For a Mia Michaels choreography, it was a bit more hip hop than her usual style but still fascinatingly done. Again, there were some off parts but there were more than enough cool things that Neil and Lauren pulled off that I still enjoyed the routine and Neil is totally shinning (like I knew he could).

Anya Garnis and Danny Tidwell - Foxtrot - choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux - "It Had To Be You" - Brian Evans

Here is the video clip of Anya and Danny’s Foxtrot routine:

Anya and Danny Week 5
Okay. Not sure how much I like Danny still but I really liked that. It was surprisingly great and while I'm not sure it makes up for weeks of technically great but soulless performances, it probably just saved these two at the right moment. See Danny, all you had to do was SMILE!

Lacey Schwimmer and Kameron Bink - Hip Hop - choreographed by Dan Karaty - "Here I Come" - Fergie

Here is the video clip of Lacey and Kameron’s Hip Hop routine:

Kameron and Lacey Week 5
I kinda feel dirty after seeing Lacey like that. The judges were getting nitpicky, especially on Kameron's performance. Wade had some interesting points, and the difference between his commentary and Screaming Mary's just showed that making Mary permanent might not have been the best idea. She's entertaining, but definitely the Paula of the group. While I could understand and agree with what Wade said, I still kinda liked the performance, and I actually like Kameron's heavy style. It's actually what I like BEST about him. It's kind of hunky dancing. You can take hunky in any sense of the word. It's manly, like watching an Australian rugby player knowing how to move to the beat but with a sense of style. Know what I mean? I'm probably not explaining this very well.

Wrap Up

Best Pairing of the Night - : Anya and Danny finally. Though Dominic and Sabra, yet again, come close.

Worst of the Night - Jaimie and Hok but this is another close one.

Mainly it was a pretty even night I thought. Everyone was good, but no pair really stood out this week unlike other weeks. The usually great dancers were good, the good were great. Each dance has some faults, each one had amazing moments. I think a lot of the results tomorrow are going to be based on the previous weeks more than ever as I predicted over the last 2 weeks that it would.

So who do I want to make it to next week's Top 10? The 10 that will make it onto the live tour? This is a hard call. I have about 7 in mind for SURE (in BOLD). The other 3 slots are slightly debatable.

Here are my Favourite boys overall, up to this point in the competition in order from Favourite to Least:
Pasha
Dominic
Kameron
Neil

Danny
Hok
but the first two and the last two are so close that I change their spots hourly. Yes, at this point we can all agree that Danny is technically the best dancer, and Hok has some limited abilities. I'd still rather see Hok on the tour more than Danny, who needs to learn from step-brother Travis how to be the best and still appear humble and lovable. Still, Danny is such a good dancer that I would like to see him paired with someone else to see if we can get some personality to appear from under that toned body (seriously, DESIGNER SUNGLASSES WAS ALL HE COULD COME UP WITH LAST WEEK??? How BORING can someone BE?). At least he learned to smile this week. There's hope yet.

My Favourite girls overall, up to this point in the competition (again, from Favourite to Least):
Lacey
Sabra
Sara

Jaimie
Anya
Lauren
only with the girls, I would group the first three, and the last three. I keep changing the places, also placing Sabra and Sara in first and changing it hourly, and I keep changing my mind on who I want to go between Jaimie, Anya and Lauren. All are great in their own way, all have weaknesses. Anya lacks SOMETHING like Danny though not as bad as Danny, and maybe her partnership with him has been a detriment to her. Lauren has sucked in the solos and while she shined over Neil at first, I think Neil is overtaking the spotlight in that partnership now. Jaimie doesn't stand out when you think about all the girls as a whole and I always kind of forget about her until I see her perform again. She doesn't produce as memorable performances (accomplished as they are) compared to Lacey, Sabra or Sarah who stick out in my mind during the rest of the week.

So who do I think are going to go tomorrow? Probably Hok and Lauren, though I have this weird feeling that Lauren and Neil might be safe, thus endangering higher ranking girls (from my list) and Jaimie might be gone (based on the fact that I think Danny and Anya might finally actually be safe this week). I really don't know who is going to be bottom three though. It could be anybody tomorrow. This is going to be CLOSE. Let's hope not as shocking as the last 2 weeks though (Shauna still should have been here).

So what does everybody else think? My favourites list totally crazy? Am I blinded by the hotness of some of the dancers?
