As The Music of Glee Season 1 Volume 1 gets released officially today (and the tracks for Volume 2 (out Dec. 8th) are announced), here's my Top 5 7 10 picks from the disc with the songs up to the Nov. 11th episode. (There are 17 listed on the disc, 18 on iTunes)

In no particular order here's my Top 10 songs (uh, from the 18 listed, though Mercy isn't on the soundtrack):

Cause I "Don't Stop Believin'" in Glee!:


Cory Monteith (Finn) doesn't have the strongest voice but you can hear his spirit when he sings! It's adorable! "Can't Fight This Feeling":


"Somebody to Love":


Because Lea Michelle (Rachel) can sing everything, she knocks "Take A Bow" out of the park!:


Guest star Kristin Chenoweth (who will be back for more later in the season!) is already a huge Broadway star, but she gets to be "Alone" on Glee (with fellow Broadway alum Matthew Morrison):


Sweet Mark Salling (Puck) singing "Sweet Caroline":


Lea Michelle (Rachel) and Chris Colfer (Kurt) "Defying Gravity", just like the show has done:


Because even Glee can remake Avril Lavigne into a must listen! "Keep Holding On":


Knowing Finn was high helps understand Cory Monteith's enthusiasm on "It's My Life/ Confessions Part II":


Never heard this song before the show but Amber Riley (Mercedes) sure shatters the song "Bust Your Windows"!:
