Top 7 Group Dance with the All-Stars

Song: "Charleston (from Billion Dollar Baby)" - Jerome Robbins Broadway
Grade: B

Thought the choreo was okay (I guessed it was Tyce based on its simplicity and blandness), but loved seeing the All-Stars mix with the competitors. Love seeing Mark, Neil, Ade and Dominic doing a Broadway number. Love seeing Kathryn and Allison mix it up with Kent and Robert. With all the casualties this season, I'd be happy just to see group numbers with the Top 6 and the All Stars for the rest of the season.



In fact, they announced tonight that the tour will consist of the Season 6 dancers, Season 7 dancers AND the All-Stars. HOT DAMN! When do I get tickets?


The Predictions from the Top 7 Performances:
Bottom Three: Billy, Adéchiké and Ashley who is automatically in already.

At this point, I just think it's obvious that Adéchiké and Jose just aren't close to the level of the others, but that could be dangerous that it's so obvious as their fans will know they need to vote for them like crazy to save them. So Billy and Robert are in danger because they aren't cute and blonde like Kent and Lauren who should remain safe.

Going Home Adéchiké

I forgot to account for Ashley's injury. And that she, like Alex, wouldn't even make it past their first chance.

The actual results were:

Ashley is automatically in the bottom 3 already so to find the bottom 2:
Lauren is safe.
Kent is safe.
Adéchiké is safe.
Billy is in the bottom 2. Again. For the 3rd week in a row. What the?
Robert IS SAFE. YES. THANK GOODNESS.
Jose is thus in the bottom 3.

So Adéchiké has never been in the bottom 3 now. Okay, I get that maybe Billy hasn't connected well enough but to be bottom 3 for 3 weeks in a row? While Adéchiké is safe? Seriously? At least Robert is safe. His 2 weeks in the bottom 3 seems to have drummed up the votes again.














The Experts:

Man, that's a really weird song, but boy, those are some really cool moves, and I loved the whole choreo for it. I loved Rachael's look. I keep meaning to go see an Alvin Ailey show. I really need to get on that.

Comfort Fedoke and Stephen Twitch Boss
From Season 4 Top 10 Week
Choreographed by: Dave Scott
Style: Hip-Hop
Song: "Forever" - Chris Brown

I know Comfort was only brought back to the Top 10 because Jessica injured herself, but it was nice to see her finally shine in her own style while partnered perfectly with Twitch.




The Filler:

Fernando Martin-Gullans and Lauren Vayser from Mary Murphy's Champion Ballroom Academy
Song: "Jailhouse Rock" - Elvis Presley

Christina Perri singing "Jar of Hearts" with Allison Holker and Neil Haskell performing. Which is never not bad. I could watch Neil and Allison forever.

I'm loving these guest musical performances now, now that they have All-Star dancers dancing to them. More More More!




Dance For Your Life:

Billy Bell
Song: "Stand By Me" - Ben E. King
Grade: A+

Seriously, such a great soloist. If there's one good thing about seeing him in the bottom 3, it's that we can see his solos every week. I swear he doesn't get his votes because of his droopy looking eyes which don't make his cuteness pop.

Jose "Full Deck" Ruiz
Song: "Chicken Bone Circuit" - RJD2
Grade: B+

Not that I really know how many spins or how hard his tricks really are, so I'm not really one to judge (but I will!), but I still think Jose is good, but I think Nicolas Begin (SYTYCD Canada 2, America's Best Dance Crew) and Legacy had better Breaker Solos.


The Cut:

Sadly, for a second week in a row, another injured dancer has been forced out. Doctors say Ashley Galvan will need several weeks to recover and Nigel makes no mention of an automatic invite to next season, and just wonders if she'll even be well enough to be on the tour.

So we lose yet another girl, and one of the stronger ones right from the start, due to an injury.

Now only Lauren is left with 5 boys in what's turning into a very odd season.
