How I Met Your Mother - Thanks For Giving Slapsgiving
Slapsgiving - Ep. 309
Slapsgiving was Slapstastic! Slapalicious! Slapsational! Slaperb! Slapstraordinary! The cat's meow! (I just had to add that in)
That amazing episode we knew How I Met Your Mother had in it that we had been waiting all Season 3 for? Well, it finally came during Thanksgiving week. Had the writers been saving up, sowing and plowing the fields the whole time, starving us a little so that we would really appreciate this Slapsgiving dinner? Well enjoy I did, though possibly from the slight starvation but either way, it was a memorable Slapsgiving.
From the Slapcountdown taunting Barney the entire week of Thanksgiving Slapsgiving and Marshall crazily and deservedly toying with Barney's fear with his groanworthy (yet hilarious) Slapworthy puns, ...
To finally dealing with Ted and Robin remaining "friends" after their breakup and the fact that it's actually more difficult than they had originally let on, ...
To Ted seeing Robin's new older boyfriend as a grandfather (even though he's only 42), ...
To Lily's attempt at making Thanksgiving with no one else's help, and to Robin for pointing out that the REAL Thanksgiving happened over a month ago (Yes, Canadian Thanksgiving, the REAL Thanksgiving for the thanks of a plentiful harvest and some old explorer dude actually trying to discover America (or something like that. What she said...) and not when the pilgrims slaughtered the natives, ouch... did I just say that?)...
To Ted and Robin sleeping together and their split screen differences on the whole situation (Ted wants to ignore it, Robin wants to talk about it), ...
To the Major General thing, ...
To Lily, the slapbet commissioner ruling Thanksgiving slap free, ...
Until Barney taunts Marshall back enough that Lily doesn't care anymore, ...
And Lily the slapbet commissioner allows slapping again on Slapsgiving...
To the post-slap song Marshall had composed to a groaning Barney!!!
I'm serious just slap-happy from Slapsgiving. And completely satisfied (slapsified? yeah, doesn't quite work) and full!
Happy Slapsgiving!
Here's the video that everyone else seems to have already posted (so too many to credit) of Marshall singing the post-slap song "You Just Got Slapped". Love that it's from Dominant Records. Ha!
