The 2007 Tony Awards Wrap Up

Oh yey, here are the list of winners (*denoted by the highlighted star) (and video clips here) from last nights Tony Awards. If you don't know them, you can probably guess Spring Awakening won in the Best Musical categories (winning 8 of the 11 nominations and the 13 possible categories it was elligible for), and The Coast of Utopia for the play categories (winning 7 overall). There's some good Tony Awards coverage here, here and here, and photos of red carpet here, here and here, and winners here. Here's 3 pages of all the acceptance speeches including Mary Louise Wilson's hilarious one, Julie White's hilarious speech, well deserved Bill T. Jones' incoherent but excited speech (who I never thought would win with his artful untraditional dancing in Spring Awakening) and John Galagher Jr.'s sweet one.

Plus, for what ended up being a sort of live blogging from me, here's the previous postings from last nights 61st Annual 2007 Tony Awards.

Woo! John Galagher Jr. Wins!

So with the exception of Raúl Esparza's loss in the Best Actor category, I was pretty ecstatic with all the other wins. Though I would have thought Kiki and Herb would have won but I knew it was going to be close.
