I'm so glad you do movies too :-)

OK so is this a musical or something? I haven't really read anything about it, but Tim Burton and Johnny Depp is just a win-win for me, plus the trailer looks awesome.

Guess what I'm going to do this Christmas...

I blog about anything I like to watch!

Yeah. I've actually never seen Sweeney Todd but it's a classic musical by Sondheim (the "smart" musical writer on Broadway) about a murdering barber whose wife bakes the victims into meat pies.

Did I mention it's a musical? I know. I have no idea what to expect but it's a classic and Sondheim (I LOVE his Company, Into the Woods, etc).

The National tour is actually passing Toronto this November and I have tickets, and the Broadway production last year (which the National tour is based on) was apparently amazing (and done with the same actor also orchestra as director Doyle did with his Company).

Still, Burton, Depp, Carter? Should be interesting in the very least!

Sweet Jesus...that should made me 10 times more excited than I already was. That looks incredibly stylish and morbidly fun....it's odd they didn't ever actually, ya know, acknowledge this is a musical. Oh well....HBC!

SO EXCITED!!! Sweeney Todd is my absolute favorite musical (more of an operetta than a musical, almost, and probably as dark as anything Sondheim has ever done), and I think the cast looks very promising.

The Broadway production last year was very good, though I prefer the original one, myself (you have to netflix the dvd after you see the show live...Angela Lansbury is incredible).
